Hello Everyone,
This is the fourth and final post as a part of Diwali Die release and giveaway, but definitely not the last one with these dies :). These particular designs are adapted into dies because they allow us to create and enjoy many favorite techniques but also look elegant as independent focal images when we need to make multiple projects in short time.
HAPPY DIWALI Word die set are one such example, a die-cut as well as its negative piece can be used to make cards. Two cards in one die-cutting.
Following three cards highlight that. I created quick and easy Distress Ink & Distress Oxide blended backgrounds using Ranganjali Ultra Smooth Cardstock- (on it Distress ink, and most definitely, Oxides spread like butter, I have not seen any cardstock do that in my limited experience, not even Neenah Solar White) for ink blending.
Using Negative Panel

For the first card, I used the panel as is after I diecut Happy Diwali words from its center. I have pasted the panel on White WOODGRAIN cardstock with foam tape to make it more dimension and textural contrast. Just be careful to save middle part of letters "D" & "A" and a little piece between W & A in "Diwali" word, and small cutouts from "happy" word if you like. I have adhered these pieces directly on cardstock with Zig Glue Pen, without foam tape. As final touches, I added stars from Stardust Rainbow Star Shaker bit and Star & Sparkle Sequin mix.

Using Diecut Words (Positive Pieces)

For the second card, I pasted the words from plain white cardstock over the blended panel. That is it! Tip: You may use the negative piece as a guide to adhere the words and diya images in the way they are intended or be creative. I sprinkled water for some interest and added Nuvo Morning Dew Drops which dries clear.

This card with Ganesh contains the words diecut (positive piece) from the first card panel. Those words adds some colour to the monochromatic background. Because the words are inter-connected, they just hang in the middle once adhered on sides. I have used Ganesh image from Ranganjali AUSPICIOUS BEGINNINGS Stamp set. The wood like panel around it is real wood as paper, available as CHERRY WOOD Textured Cardstock.
