Hello everyone!

So happy to be back here on Ranganjali!! Do you remember in last blog I gave you sneak peek of an amazing product? Well then today, I will be reviewing it and making some fun things. This cardstock is Ranganjali’s ultra smooth 300 gsm cardstock.

Ranganjali's ultra smooth 300 gsm cardstock comes as white cardstock. Two important things about this cardstock: 1) ultra smooth & 2) 300gsm. You can just feel its smoothness. It can be used for stamping, Ink blending and heat embossing. I have tried distress ink blending on this and it lives up to its name- ultra smooth :). It is great with stamping regular and layered as well. Results are crisp stamped images.

Second best thing about it is 300 gsm. OMG !! I don’t know why but I am a fan of thick cardstock. It gives me the freedom to use one cardstock for all needs like panels, embellishments or bases of one layer cards. It is also very easy to heat emboss on Ranganjali's ultra smooth 300 gsm cardstock since its so thick and very much resistant to warping. So, to sum it up I am really loving this new cardstock. :) Now let’s see what I made with this superstar!!

Christmas is so near hence all I wanted to make was Christmas cards! To make this card I used some tiny ornament stamps and stamped it on Ranganjalis ultra smooth 300 gsm cardstock. For stamping I used archival ink in carnation red. I tried ombre stamping by double and triple stamping while wiping half of the stamp in between. I also heat embossed some ornaments using Ranger Holographic embossing powder. Then added strings to all ornaments using black fineliner. Sentiments are from labelled messages (Mama Elephant). I made 3 labels with Versafine Onyx black and mounted them with foam tape. Then a diagonal striped piece just to tie up the black strings and labels. To finish it off added some Ranganjali's clear drops. Done! The trick here is to use only one ink colour (plus black of course ;)) and get a beautiful tonal effect. Ranganjali’s ultra smooth 300 gsm cardstock performs beautifully with all the double triple stamping and heat embossing. :)

Moving on to next one!! This is more of a modern Christmas card.

I have to tell you that this card is made with not a single holiday theme product!! Amazing right?? To make this card I masked Ranganjalis ultra smooth 300 gsm cardstock with regular scotch tape to form triangular shapes openings. One or two triangles at a time. Then I used different Distress inks (Peacock feathers, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Scattered Straw) and ink blended to create these Christmas trees. Ink blending is effortless on this cardstock. No patches, no rings just beautiful smooth blend. I kept adding more and more trees while overlapping new ones with the previous ones. I added Red enamel dots to make them look more festive. Then mounted the card front on a shimmery silver card base. The sentiment is from Heartfelt of Penny Black Stamps. Stamped it with versamark ink and used Ranger White Embossing powder. Added a thin strip of same striped paper and mounted with foam tape. That’s it J No holiday product used!! But tell me one thing does it look like a birthday card to you with party hats?? Well the choice is yours ;)

Are you expecting a non card item now?

Ranganjali christmas tag ultra smooth cardstock Deeplaxmi

Here is a tag for you... I mean two :) I made these tags using My Favorite Things tag builder 5 dies. A must must buy if you are a tag lover! To make them I first Distress ink blended on Ranganjali’s ultra smooth 300 gsm cardstock with a stencil that I found in my stuff.

Distress inks (Shaded lilac, Spun sugar and Picked raspberry) blend beautifully to get this angelic pink purple look. Then I die cut two tags out of each plain cardstock, Ink blended cardstock, acetate and white foam sheet. Added matching sequins and assembled them to create shaker tags. If you are into making shaker cards this will take you just minutes. Then added simple matching satin ribbon to finish it off. If you want, you can add a sentiment to these tags. I left them blank as a really feel the showstopper is the ink blending here :)

I really loved how beautifully even solid stamps stamped on Ranganjali's ultra smooth 300 gsm cardstock. But when it comes to ink blending it’s the best cardstock you can get. I am not even a pro in ink blending but if I can achieve such good results then the credit goes to the cardstock. I think you should definitely give it a try!!

That is it for today. I really hope this inspired you a bit. Its good to be here..

Thank you so much again Ranganjali..! See you soon!!

Cheers!
