Hello friends,
It is a new month and time for a new challenge.
We loved to see your wonderfully crafted submissions for the April Challenge. Well done! Thank you all for participating! Please scroll down to find the winner of the gift voucher.
Now, this month's challenge...It is: FRAMED. Include a frame or frames in or around your creations by stamping or die-cutting or by any of your favorite methods.

Here are some of the ideas Purvi tried.

This piece started as an aquarium themed card but with the growing ideas to use the front acetate piece as a layer to adhere some elements, it turned out to be a decorative table piece. I used MFT's Sea Life stamp set to stamp corals kelp and fish on a silver cardstock with pigment inks. I stamped some elements again on another cardstock, handcut them and covered them with Glossy Accents. Once they dried, I arranged and adhered these elements on underside of the acetate with Glossy Accents. Glossy Accent was the best adhesive here, for it helped add appearance of natural gloss, air bubbles in water and also dried clear.
I used Fun Foam and double sided tapes to mount the acetate piece. It is at this point I thought that this will make a nice quasi-3D decorative piece rather than a bulky card. I used silicone beads that come in desiccant packets that we get with a new apparel and such merchandises sometimes and adhered some pearls. I added black cardstock frame with double sided tape over the acetate and later covered it with a blue washi tape.

I wanted to create a frame-able piece using floral stamps. Here, I used Altenew's Peony Bouquet stamp set. I stamped floral images in coloured ink to get no outline colouring on a 9x12 inch watercolor paper. I used Prima Marketing's watercolor pencils for watercoloring. The berries and leaves are stamped in Simons Says Stamp's inks. The light blue background is made using Faded Jeans Distress ink. The phrase is from MFT's Chalkboard Greetings stamp set.
