Hello friends!

We are back with a new challenge this month.

This month we are going geometric. A geometric pattern should be the main focus of your project. Among myriad of methods, you can try stenciling, embossing as well as hand painting.

Here are the two cards we came up with.

This card is created using one of Heidi Swapp TRIANGLE Stencils and distress inks. First, I applied Dusty Concord Distress ink lightly with a blending tool through the stencil. I shifted the stencil slightly and applied Wilted Violet ink heavily. I again flipped and realigned the stencil to accommodate remaining empty white triangular spaces within the stencil spaces and applied Picked Raspberry Distress Ink.

Once the background pattern was done, I applied White Enamel Accents on intersections of triangles. The sentiment from Kaisercraft's Confidence stamp set is embossed in black embossing powder on a vellum piece and a matching embroidery floss is an added embellishment.

This card uses emboss resist technique. The pattern is stamped with Kaisercraft Morocco stamp set and embossed in gold and white embossing powders on a watercolor paper. I sprinkled Pthalo Green form Ken Oliver’s Color Bursts over this embossed panel and sprayed water over it for a bright, contrasting and variegated background.

Once this background was completed, I cut it into stripes and adhered them diagonally over a cobalt blue cardstock piece. The sentiment is embossed in white embossing powder with a Simon Says Stamp on vellum.

Now, lets check out a winner of our June Challenge. First, a huge thanks to all those who joined us last month.

One winner randomly selected from all submissions is Priyanka Mathur from Shining Colours Handmade Crafts.
